[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Tour Development announced on the 29th that it is launching and selling a seafood appetizer platter at 'Pocha,' located on the 38th floor of the Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort.
The appetizer platter at 'Pocha' consists of five dishes: squid corn pancake, fried squid with gochujang aioli, stir-fried rock octopus, steamed clams, and bomal makguksu (buckwheat noodles). Using current ingredients such as squid and bomal, it is said to allow guests to fully enjoy the flavors of Jeju. It is available daily from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, priced at 46,000 KRW for two people and 80,000 KRW for four people (menu and prices subject to change, reservations not accepted).
'Pocha' is designed with the concept of a Korean street food tent and features an open kitchen where chefs can be seen cooking. It offers a variety of street food menus including kimchi pancake, pork mung bean pancake, seafood udon, clear clam and mussel soup, and boiled rock octopus. Specialty dishes such as Jeju pork noodles, eggplant skewers flavored with Jeju organic soybean paste, and Jeju pork skewers are also offered. The alcoholic beverages include Jeju draft makgeolli, Pocha punch with watermelon, melon bar cocktails, and fruit makgeolli blended with blueberry or pineapple. Retro desserts such as old-fashioned shaved ice and fruit hwachae (Korean fruit punch) are also available.
A representative from Lotte Tour Development explained, "With a refreshing panoramic view overlooking Jeju city center, the runway, and the sea, the sunset hour offers a view of the Jeju sunset, complemented by colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling that add a serene atmosphere." They added, "The unique colors and beautiful scenery of Jeju change moment by moment throughout the day, making it very popular." They continued, "Customers flock from the afternoon to secure window seats with the best sunset views," and added, "The appetizer platter, boasting distinctive menus and high cost-effectiveness, is highly ordered in sync with the time of day."
