Michelin Korea Appoints Jerome Bangsiong, Former Michelin Philippines Head, as New CEO Jerome Bangson, the new CEO of Michelin Korea (photo), will officially take office from the 1st of next month.

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Michelin Korea announced on the 28th that Jerome Bangsong will officially assume the position of CEO starting next month on the 1st.


Jerome Bangsong joined the Michelin Group Asia-Pacific headquarters in 2003, beginning his career in the new car tire business division for passenger cars and light trucks. He has supported automotive manufacturer clients while holding various positions in marketing and business operations departments. He later served as the Marketing Director for the passenger tire division at Michelin Japan and most recently as the CEO of Michelin Philippines.


New CEO Jerome Bangsong stated, "Korea is a very important market for the Michelin Group, and I am honored to join Michelin Korea. Together with the team, I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to the Korean market to ensure that customers experience the excellence and satisfaction of the Michelin Group’s brand, products, and services."


He added, "Creating the best working environment for employees and striving for environmental and social responsibility will be important missions to successfully fulfill the aspirations of the Michelin Group."


Meanwhile, former Michelin Korea CEO Joo-hyung Lee will move to the Michelin Asia-Pacific headquarters to continue in a new role.
