LG CNS, First Domestic Company Certified as Google Cloud 'Machine Learning Specialist'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] LG CNS announced on the 29th that it has obtained Google Cloud's 'Machine Learning Specialization' certification. LG CNS is the only Korean company to have acquired this certification.

Google Cloud operates 17 types of Specialization certification programs. The Specialization certificate is issued to companies that have demonstrated expertise through real-world application cases in each technical field. It is a certification also held by well-known global companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, and Slalom.

To obtain the Machine Learning Specialization certification, companies must pass expertise verification in 33 items across 6 areas related to AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning technologies. These 33 items include ▲ successful AI and machine learning business cases and technical capabilities ▲ possession of Google-certified 'Professional Machine Learning Engineer' credentials ▲ the company's AI specialized organization status and investment plans. All items require qualifications that meet or exceed the standards set by Google Cloud.

First, LG CNS verified its capabilities through successful customer AI implementation cases using Google Cloud technology. Representative examples include LG Electronics' 'Global Contact Center Voicebot,' which handles customers' simple and repetitive inquiries via AI voice-based chatbots, and AEON Japan's AI foreign language conversation application 'AI SpeakTutor.'

Additionally, LG CNS demonstrated AI and machine learning expertise through models such as an AI model that automatically classifies business registration certificate images by country, sentiment analysis AI that determines positive or negative sentences in SNS comments, and a machine learning model that predicts the number of express bus passengers by time zone to support dispatch adjustments.

Furthermore, LG CNS met Google Cloud's requirements by securing seven 'Professional Machine Learning Engineer' certifications, the highest qualification recognized by Google for machine learning experts. LG CNS also has over 170 employees who have obtained the 'TDC (Tensorflow Developer Certificate),' Google's AI developer certification program.
