Strengthening Cooperation to Expand Services in Gyeongnam and Honam Regions Within the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] CJ Logistics announced on the 29th that it will launch Market Kurly's early morning delivery service in Daegu Metropolitan City starting August 1. The two companies signed a 'Logistics Cooperation MOU for Nationwide Expansion of Early Morning Delivery' last April, and since May, they have been providing early morning delivery services to five cities in the Chungcheong region: Daejeon, Sejong, Cheonan, Asan, and Cheongju.
CJ Logistics and Market Kurly are focusing on providing stable early morning delivery services by linking their logistics infrastructures. Fresh food, beauty products, kitchenware, electronics, and other non-food items shipped from Market Kurly's metropolitan area logistics center are transported to two CJ Logistics terminals located in Daegu, then go through detailed sorting processes before being delivered to customers.
Through this, Market Kurly has been able to expand its service areas without directly building regional logistics infrastructure, while CJ Logistics has been able to secure delivery volumes stably and improve operational efficiency based on its existing terminals.
To enhance service quality, CJ Logistics deploys specialized delivery personnel dedicated solely to early morning delivery products and utilizes a cold chain system. Additionally, the application provides delivery personnel with information on volume status and destination details to facilitate their work.
Starting with the Daegu early morning delivery service, CJ Logistics plans to strengthen cooperation with Market Kurly to expand services within this year to Busan, Ulsan, the Gyeongnam region, and the Honam region including Gwangju. The two companies are successfully managing the existing Chungcheong region service through cooperation and the deployment of specialized delivery personnel. Since the launch of the Chungcheong region early morning delivery in May, order volume has increased by approximately 60% compared to the initial period, and a customer survey conducted by Market Kurly in the same month showed a delivery satisfaction rate of 97.6%.
A CJ Logistics official stated, "Based on expertise across all logistics areas and advanced logistics technology, we will accelerate the expansion of Market Kurly's early morning delivery." He added, "We will develop various forms of last-mile services tailored to consumer demands and lead the rapidly changing e-commerce market centered on the logistics industry."
