BC Card partners with K Bank to launch first PLCC 'Simple Card'

From Card Issuance to Bank Account Opening at Once with a Contactless Issuance Process

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] BC Card has partnered with K Bank to launch their first collaborative product. The key feature is focusing on the core financial benefits through analysis of customer data from both companies.

BC Card and K Bank announced on the 29th that they have launched BC Card’s first private label credit card (PLCC), the 'K Bank Simple Card,' offering up to 120,000 KRW in benefits to card users.

This card features a fully non-face-to-face issuance process, allowing customers using BC Card and K Bank for the first time to apply for card issuance and bank account opening directly through the K Bank application (app), enabling immediate benefits.

The card’s basic benefits are simple yet powerful. Without any monthly spending requirements or discount limits, it offers a 1.5% statement discount in six major daily life categories such as online simple payments, convenience stores, and coffee shops, and a 0.8% statement discount at all other domestic and international merchants. Additionally, the credit card includes a cash withdrawal function, allowing free K Bank account deposit and withdrawal transactions at bank ATMs and GS25 convenience store ATMs.

To celebrate the card launch, an event is being held. First, during the event period (July 29 to August 31), if the Simple Card is used for more than 70,000 KRW, a 70,000 KRW statement discount will be provided. However, customers who have had payment history with BC Card’s directly issued cards (including family cards) in the past six months are excluded. Also, customers eligible for the first event who maintain an average balance of over 200,000 KRW in their K Bank deposit and withdrawal account for 30 days from the first use of the Simple Card will receive 50,000 KRW deposited into their account.
