68 Fewer Than the Previous Day... Spread Continues
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was tentatively counted at 495 during the 21 hours from midnight to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, the 28th.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 68 fewer than the 563 cases reported the previous day (27th) and 5 more than the 490 cases reported last Wednesday (21st). The total number of cases for the entire day was 573 on the 27th and 499 on the 21st.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul rose to the 300s at the end of last month and surged to the 500s this month, breaking the highest record twice with 583 cases on the 6th and 638 cases on the 13th. Since last week, the spread of COVID-19 in Seoul has somewhat slowed down but remains unabated.
Meanwhile, as of 9 p.m. on the 28th, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul was tentatively counted at 63,376. The total number of cases for the entire day will be compiled as of midnight on the 29th and announced in the morning.
