Additional Issuance of 2 Billion Won, Individual Purchase Limit Set at 500,000 Won Starting Next Month
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 28th that it will continue to implement a 10% special discount sale on the Zero Pay-linked mobile Geochang Love Gift Certificate issued to recover consumer sentiment weakened by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The county will issue an additional 2 billion KRW worth of mobile gift certificates to help small business owners who have been struggling due to the fourth wave of COVID-19 and the increased interest and demand for the mobile Geochang Love Gift Certificate launched in early May, extending the 10% special discount sale until the budget is exhausted.
Also, from August, the monthly purchase limit per person for mobile gift certificates will be adjusted from 300,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW, and for paper gift certificates, from 700,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW. The annual purchase limit per person is 4 million KRW (combined for paper and mobile).
The mobile Geochang Love Gift Certificate can be purchased through Zero Pay apps such as Beeple Zero Pay and All One Bank, and can be used at 2,100 Zero Pay affiliated stores registered in the county.
Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, said, “I hope that many will purchase the mobile gift certificates, which have no commission burden for small business owners and provide income tax deductions for consumers, to revitalize the local economy and overcome the COVID-19 crisis.”
The county has been supporting the recruitment and guidance of new affiliated stores by dispatching recruitment personnel to visit stores since the 19th to promote the Geochang Love Gift Certificate and Zero Pay.
