The target group consists of 447 children under the age of 18, both enrolled and unenrolled in school, who are at risk of food insecurity, and one meal per person per day will be provided.
Muju County will provide group meals to 145 children using local children's centers, and deliver side dishes directly to the homes of 302 children from general households.
In addition, to provide healthy food to children, the county will conduct frequent inspections of quarantine and hygiene management at meal institutions.
Hwang In-hong, the governor of Muju County, said, "Meal support is to prevent food insecurity among low-income children and minimize blind spots in child meal services during the summer vacation period when school meals are suspended," adding, "We will continue thorough and detailed monitoring to actively identify children in meal service blind spots and strive to create a Muju County without food-insecure children."
