[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced the appointment of Lee I-jae, former 19th National Assembly member, as the new chairman of the 120 Dasan Call Foundation. The term of office is three years.
Starting from August 2, Chairman Lee will lead the foundation for three years, carrying out tasks to realize citizen-centered communication administration by providing customized comprehensive administrative consultation services.
Chairman Lee graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Myongji University and completed a master's degree in Social Welfare at Sungkyunkwan University. He has served as a 19th National Assembly member, chairman of the Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation, and secretary-general of the Seoul Sports Council. Based on his extensive experience in various civic organizations and public service, he is evaluated as the right person to lead the foundation’s management to provide more convenient services such as smart consultations integrating AI (artificial intelligence) and big data.
Additionally, Seoul appointed Seong Sam-young (Director of the National Labor Union Political Education Institute), Lee Sang-ik (former chairman of Incheon Environmental Corporation), and Choi Sun-hee (former CEO of Insight Communications) as non-executive directors, and Lee Joo-yeop (CEO of LNP Partners) as non-executive auditor.
Yoon Jong-jang, Director of Citizen Communication Planning at Seoul City, said, “With Chairman Lee I-jae’s experience in national governance, public institution management, and civic organization activities, the 120 Dasan Call Foundation is expected to greatly contribute to providing more professional consultation services as a public call center and improving citizen satisfaction.”
