Geoje City Appoints 6th Term Geoje City 'Visiting Citizen Lecturers'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City in Gyeongnam announced on the 28th that it held the '6th Geoje City Visiting Citizen Instructor Appointment Ceremony' at the Geoje City Hall Communication Office.

The appointment ceremony was attended by 10 instructors who passed the selection screening, Yoo Hyung-sik, head of the 'From Me to All Together Citizen Movement,' Lee Heon, advisory committee member of the Citizen Instructor Group, and Kim Kyung-soo, head of the Citizen Instructor Group.

Mayor Byeon Gwang-yong awarded the appointment certificates and said, "Due to COVID-19, the number of business trips for citizen instructors has decreased and they have become restrained. Despite these difficult conditions, I hope you will play a pivotal role in awakening the conscience of citizens and advancing toward a progressive city."

Meanwhile, the visiting citizen instructor business lectures, which began in August 2015, have reached 1,617 sessions as of the end of June this year, with the number of attendees reaching 49,000.
