[Yeongam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Jeonnam Yeongam-gun Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center (Director Song Young-hee) announced on the 28th that it is operating a weekend class to strengthen the capabilities of marriage immigrants for about 40 people, including marriage immigrants, children of immigrants who entered mid-way, foreign workers and their families, and overseas Koreans.
The Korean language education for marriage immigrants is being conducted not only on weekdays during the day but also as a weekend class throughout July, and a night class is planned for October. It supports multicultural families in continuing their desire to learn and facilitates smooth communication within the family.
A center official stated, “Seeing the participants who diligently attend Korean language education despite their busy and difficult schedules, we will strive to expand opportunities for participation through continuous operation and support of various programs.”
