Olleh TV Kids Land H1 Top Spot... 'Cocomelon' Surpasses Pororo

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Among the kids' content provided by KT's Olleh tv Kidsland in the first half of this year, the content that reached one million views the fastest was found to be 'Cocomelon.'


Digital platform company KT announced on the 28th the usage behavior analysis results for the first half of the year of Olleh tv Kidsland, an IPTV service exclusively for infants and toddlers with 5.6 million parenting household customers.


Ranking first in popularity, Cocomelon is the content with the most subscribers worldwide among YouTube Kids channels and is exclusively provided on Olleh tv Kidsland. The number one most repeatedly watched content by children (Nth viewing) was 'Pororo and Sing NEW 1.'


Analyzing the TV usage behavior of parenting households by time of day, the time when TV is used the most daily is from 7 PM to 8 PM, during dinner time, followed by the time from 8 AM to 9 AM, when children prepare to go to kindergarten or daycare. The most viewed content during this time was also Cocomelon.

Unlike weekdays, the content with particularly high viewership on weekends, when parents and children spend time together, was the popular YouTube English content 'Little Baby Bum.' This content is designed so that children can enjoy singing along to exciting nursery rhymes with their parents and develop an interest in English or numbers without pressure.


Additionally, Olleh tv Kidsland gained popularity with original content produced with the direct participation of Dr. Oh Eun-young, the nation's parenting mentor. Titles such as 'Kidsland Nature Encyclopedia,' where Pororo appears in BBC classic documentaries and explains them at a child's level, and 'Our Child's Economics Class,' provided through Class 101 Kids, also received positive responses.
