OB Beer announced on the 28th that it will urgently provide 28,440 bottles of water to vulnerable groups affected by the heatwave in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] OB Beer announced on the 28th that it will urgently provide a total of 28,440 bottles of water (500ml each) through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help vulnerable groups in Daegu and Gyeongbuk safely get through the summer heatwave.
This support was prepared for vulnerable groups in Daegu and Gyeongbuk who are struggling due to the continuous heatwave and tropical nights. The water will be distributed to about 30 places in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, including associations for the disabled, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and senior welfare centers, benefiting vulnerable groups such as the disabled, elderly, and children.
An OB Beer official said, "We urgently provided water to help vulnerable groups who are having an even harder time due to the ongoing pandemic situation combined with the heatwave," adding, "We will continue to carry out various activities that contribute to the local community."
OB Beer has established a system to keep emergency relief supplies such as water ready at the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to deliver relief supplies promptly. Since 2016, OB Beer has continued its relief supply support projects and has urgently provided about 414,000 bottles of water (500ml each) to disaster victims in earthquake and typhoon-affected areas and citizens in self-quarantine due to COVID-19.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, a specialized disaster relief fundraising organization, was established in 1961 by uniting broadcasters, newspapers, and social organizations nationwide to help areas affected by sudden disasters and calamities. It is a pure private relief organization and a legally recognized relief organization that can provide relief funds for natural disaster victims in Korea.
