17th Year of Support, Approximately 620,000 Bottles Delivered Since 2005
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] NS Home Shopping announced on the 28th that it has delivered 58,400 bottles of "Love Water" to major courier partners to help overcome the heatwave.
NS Home Shopping has been delivering "Love Water" to courier drivers every summer for 17 years to support those working hard in the scorching heat. Since 2005, the cumulative total of water bottles delivered has reached 618,650. This year, 58,400 bottles of "Love Water" were sequentially delivered starting from the 23rd to major courier companies including CJ Logistics, Lotte, Hanjin, and Logen.
NS Home Shopping strives to improve delivery quality by encouraging and boosting the morale of courier drivers. In April last year, amid a mask shortage, it provided 15,000 masks and 300 hand sanitizers to courier drivers exposed to COVID-19 risks. This was a measure to manage the health of courier drivers, alleviate customer anxiety, and contribute to community quarantine efforts.
Additionally, NS Home Shopping conducts a monthly "Kind Courier Driver" event to express gratitude to courier drivers. By analyzing evaluation criteria such as next-day delivery rate, next-day pickup rate, incidence of unkind behavior, and delivery loss/damage rate, 60 kind courier drivers are selected each month and given Onnuri gift certificates. During peak delivery periods like Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays, about 40 additional rewards are given to further boost courier drivers' morale through various support activities.
NS Home Shopping stated that these efforts led to a 10% improvement in courier unkindness rates compared to the previous year. Kim Ki-hwan, Executive Director of NS Home Shopping CS Support Headquarters, said, "As the heatwave continues day after day, we hope that Love Water will help the health and kind delivery of courier drivers. We will continue win-win activities that satisfy both courier drivers and customers in line with the increasing proportion of non-face-to-face transactions."
Meanwhile, NS Home Shopping also announced that it is strengthening ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activities in delivery by supporting eco-friendly packaging materials for new and small excellent partners and conducting pilot projects for reusable packaging. It is preparing to launch early morning delivery in the second half of the year to expand delivery service competitiveness.
