The TF's main tasks include establishing a criminal justice system for responding to sex crimes, preparing measures to protect victims, and researching countermeasures against deepfake crimes. Prosecutor Seo Ji-hyun, who sparked the Me Too movement by testifying about her own sexual harassment experience, was appointed as the team leader.
In addition to the TF, the Ministry of Justice plans to operate a 'Specialized Committee on Digital Sex Crimes, etc.' composed of about 10 experts from various fields such as law, media, IT, and arts.
