Urban Regeneration Created Together with Jangcheon-dong Residents
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 27th that it will recruit participants for the cultural volunteer docent training program to operate the Parangsae Art Museum in the urban regeneration activation project area around the Comprehensive Bus Terminal from tomorrow until the 10th of next month.
The "Parangsae Art Museum Cultural Volunteer (Docent) Training" aims to provide basic education for various activities at the museum, cultivate professionals with communication skills to engage with visitors, improve visitor satisfaction at the museum, expand resident participation, and restore the local community.
The training will be conducted over five sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from the 17th to the 31st of next month. Priority will be given to residents or those living within the living area of the Comprehensive Bus Terminal project district, but any Suncheon citizen interested in cultural volunteering can apply.
After completing the training, participants will have the opportunity to serve as cultural volunteer docents at the Parangsae Art Museum. Selected participants will also attend meetings and workshops, and receive a modest allowance for transportation and meals.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Jangcheon Field Support Center with the required documents after referring to the city’s Urban Regeneration Support Center website and the Jangcheon Field Support Center blog, or by email.
