[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Lee In-young, Minister of Unification, expressed his commitment to improving inter-Korean relations by saying "This is just the beginning" following the news of the resumption of inter-Korean communication lines.

On the 27th, the minister shared on social networking service (SNS) that "I am glad to deliver good news on the first anniversary of my appointment," linking to an article about the restoration of the inter-Korean communication lines.

He stated, "However, this is just the beginning," and added, "We will continue to make efforts regarding the Kaesong Industrial Complex and reunions of separated families."

On the same day, the two Koreas agreed to restore the communication lines and continue contact.
