Easy Shopping, Payment, and Event Participation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] As the sweltering heat and the spread of COVID-19 have led many citizens to spend more time at home, the distribution industry is also providing non-face-to-face shopping services that allow comfortable shopping at home.
Lotte Department Store and three outlet stores in the Gwangju area (Gwangju Branch, Suwan Branch, World Cup Branch) announced on the 27th that they are operating a 'Home Payment Service' for customers who find it burdensome or difficult to visit the stores.
The Home Payment Service refers to a service that allows customers to conveniently purchase without visiting the store separately through the L.pay application, just like online shopping, while providing all the benefits available offline such as point accumulation, discount application, and participation in mobile gift events.
The service is conducted by having non-face-to-face consultations via SNS or phone with the desired store during department store business hours, and then making payment through the application, allowing customers to comfortably receive the products at home.
Additionally, after completing the payment, customers can participate in mobile gift events with a mobile receipt.
Until the 30th, a promotion is also underway where customers using the Home Payment Service will receive 1% L.Point payback based on the purchase amount.
Next, as part of non-face-to-face shopping, the recently trending 'Labang' in the distribution industry is also being actively conducted.
Labang is a shortened term for live broadcasts where customers watch broadcasts on their smartphones, communicate in real-time with sellers, and immediately purchase desired products.
Through Labang, buyers can immediately ask questions about products and receive answers, while sellers can provide professional information about products, leading to immediate product sales through mutual communication.
The broadcasts are conducted by employees who actually work in the stores, are sensitive to fashion trends, and have excellent professional knowledge about products, so customers receive more practical information and have given positive reviews.
Park Byung-ik, Sales Planning Team Leader at Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, said, “Lotte Department Store has various non-face-to-face shopping services prepared for customers who feel uneasy about visiting stores,” adding, “We will continue to create a safer and more reassuring shopping environment.”
