[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Statistics Education Institute of Statistics Korea announced on the 27th that it will conduct an 8-day big data statistics capacity-building training (online) for 20 statistical personnel from Bangladesh starting July 27.
The "Big Data Statistics Capacity-Building Training," conducted in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is a program carried out over three years from 2019 to 2021.
Although it was suspended last year due to COVID-19, this year it will be conducted through online video education. The program consists of ▲ Big Data concepts ▲ Cases of Big Data statistics compilation in Korea, among others.
Meanwhile, the Statistics Education Institute stated, "In the future, to cultivate global statistical personnel, we plan to expand training courses not only in basic statistics but also in big data and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) education that reflect our IT technology and advanced statistical education experience."
