Discussion on Reform Plans for Checks and Balances and Responding to Changes in Policy Conditions
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 27th that it will hold an online public hearing at 2 p.m. on the 28th to gather various opinions on the organizational restructuring plan for the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) innovation.
The LH organizational restructuring to be discussed at this public hearing is part of the LH Innovation Plan announced on the 7th of last month. The government plans to promptly prepare the best organizational restructuring plan to restore checks and balances on the LH organization and to respond smoothly to changes in policy conditions such as the future increase in housing welfare demand.
At the hearing, the Director of the Land Policy Division of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will present the basic direction of the LH organizational restructuring and the review contents of each alternative proposed at the time of the innovation plan announcement. Related experts will attend the hearing in person to provide various opinions on the organizational restructuring.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to finalize the LH organizational restructuring plan promptly, taking into account the opinions presented at this hearing, and to ensure that related bills can be discussed at the regular National Assembly session.
