[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Clean Nara signed a 'Green Packaging Development and Application Business Agreement' with SPC Pack and SK General Chemical at Clean Nara's headquarters located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 26th.

Through this business agreement, Clean Nara plans to use the developed eco-friendly packaging materials for the outer packaging of products such as toilet paper rolls and facial tissues.

Through this business agreement, the three companies agreed to develop and apply eco-friendly packaging materials by recycling waste plastics. By recycling waste resources generated during the packaging production process and applying them to the outer packaging of Clean Nara products, it is expected to promote resource circulation and contribute to carbon reduction.

Clean Nara plans to complete the application of eco-friendly packaging materials to toilet paper rolls and facial tissue products within the second half of the year, and through cooperation among the three companies, will continue efforts to apply recycled plastics and use single materials for wet tissue caps, hand sanitizer gel containers, and other items.

A Clean Nara official said, "Through this business agreement, we were able to add new value to waste resources and apply them to Clean Nara products," adding, "We will continue to make steady efforts to achieve Clean Nara's management goal of 'strengthening ESG management'."

Meanwhile, Clean Nara was the first in the industry to apply 50% recycled plastic to wet tissue caps, and in the case of the baby diaper brand 'Bosomi,' reduced plastic usage by 20% through improving packaging thickness and removing handles.
