[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] Woori Bank announced on the 27th that it has signed a "business agreement for digital convergence business cooperation based on a medical platform" with G&Net, a company specializing in medical information transmission platforms. The signing ceremony was attended by Hwang Won-cheol, Head of Woori Bank's Digital Group, and Kim Dong-heon, CEO of G&Net.
Previously, Woori Bank collaborated with G&Net to introduce the Woori One Banking "Quick Claims Service for Indemnity Insurance," which allows insurance claims to be filed quickly and conveniently.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to combine Woori Bank's financial expertise with G&Net's medical information platform technology to develop financial products and services, conduct joint marketing, and operate a working-level consultative body to promote new businesses in various fields.
They plan to expand customer-centric innovative new business areas such as the "Hospital Bill Prepayment Service," which reduces hospital expenses by using Woori One Banking's non-face-to-face loan products for hospitalized patients with indemnity insurance, and the "Prescription Transmission Service," which sends prescriptions to pharmacies via mobile.
A Woori Bank official stated, "We will continue to discover lifestyle-oriented financial services by combining finance and medical information platforms to enhance customer satisfaction and convenience."
