[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver's startup nurturing organization D2SF announced on the 27th that it has made a follow-up investment in the homomorphic encryption technology startup Desilo. The investment amount was 6 billion KRW, with participation from KB Investment, Schmidt, Bon Angels, and others.
Desilo is developing a data analysis and trading platform based on homomorphic encryption technology. Homomorphic encryption is a technology that enables data analysis in an encrypted state and is receiving global attention.
Desilo's data trading platform is characterized by thoroughly protecting original data by fundamentally blocking sensitive information leaks while smoothly enabling data integration analysis or trading between companies. Desilo plans to launch a beta version within this year.
Desilo has already proven its technological prowess by winning first place at the global genetic information analysis security competition 'iDash,' surpassing prominent global companies and research institutions such as Alibaba and Yale University.
Yang Sanghwan, leader of Naver D2SF, said, "Desilo is a leading company in homomorphic encryption technology recognized for its global competitiveness," adding, "We expect it to continue to grow solidly and lead secure data trading in the future."
