SBI Savings Bank Sponsors Domestic Youth Baseball Team 'SBI Cons'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] SBI Savings Bank announced on the 26th that it will sponsor the youth baseball team 'SBIcons'.

SBIcons stands for Super Baseball Icons. It is a baseball team composed of 16 promising youth baseball players from across the country who will lead the future of Korean baseball. SBI Savings Bank decided to sponsor the team to increase public interest in youth baseball and to expand the base of youth baseball activities.

SBIcons plans to participate in the national children's baseball tournament held in August after undergoing basic training, workouts, and evaluation games with a former Major League Baseball player as the manager and skilled coaches from the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO).

A representative from SBI Savings Bank stated, "We decided to sponsor promising youth baseball players who will lead Korean baseball," and added, "We hope that Korea's youth baseball prospects can joyfully pursue their dreams in a good environment."
