Mokpo National University Engineering Education Innovation Center Completes Drone Operation and Filming Specialist Training Course

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Engineering Education Innovation Center (Director Oh Myung-ho) at Mokpo National University (President Park Min-seo) announced on the 26th that from the 21st to the 23rd, the Honam region national university network joint engineering education innovation center held at the Jeonju CAMTIC Comprehensive Technology Institute successfully completed the drone operation and filming expert training course jointly hosted by Gunsan National University, Mokpo National University, Suncheon National University, Chonnam National University, and Chonbuk National University.

Supported by the National University Development Project Group, the joint engineering education innovation center among national universities in the Honam region jointly planned educational programs in future new industry fields (3D printers, drones, VR, RPA, etc.), and held the drone operation and utilization expert training course at Chonbuk National University as the first educational program.

A total of 20 students (4 from Mokpo National University) participated in this program. Kim Jae-woo (4th year, Department of Computer Engineering) from Mokpo National University said, “I have always been interested in drones, and through this training, I had a meaningful opportunity to assemble a drone myself, learn about flight principles and structure, and experience drone aerial filming and video editing.”

Oh Myung-ho, Director of the Engineering Education Innovation Center at Mokpo National University, stated, “Based on the network-building project of the joint engineering education innovation center among national universities in the Honam region, we plan to continuously operate various educational programs and discover mutually beneficial projects for sustainable win-win development among regional national universities.”
