According to Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation on the 26th, at around 6:40 a.m., a Line 3 train heading toward Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital stopped near Yongji Station.
The sudden suspension of service caused delays in Line 3 train operations during the morning rush hour. As of 9 a.m., both directions of Line 3 between Suseong-gu Yongji Station and Buk-gu Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital Station have been completely suspended for restoration work.
Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation is conducting emergency restoration work, reporting that the operation was halted due to an electrical supply problem.
A Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation official stated, "It appears that the operation was stopped because two insulators on the catenary wire were damaged at the place where trains turn around past Yongji Station, causing a disruption in electrical supply."
