The citizen and public official proposal system was introduced to actively reflect the opinions of citizens and public officials in improving the educational policies and administrative systems of the Gyeonggi Office of Education. Every year, the Gyeonggi Office of Education adopts excellent proposals and incorporates them into Gyeonggi education policies.
Anyone can participate in the citizen proposals. Public official proposals are limited to public officials and teachers affiliated with the Gyeonggi Office of Education. The recruitment fields cover all areas related to Gyeonggi education policies.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education selects outstanding citizen and public official proposals through departmental review and reflects them in policies. The criteria for selecting excellent proposals include ▲creativity ▲efficiency ▲effectiveness ▲scope of application ▲continuity ▲feasibility.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education awards innovative proposals with invention grades and prize money. The prize money according to the invention grades is ▲Special Prize 2 million KRW ▲Excellence Prize 1 million KRW ▲Merit Prize 500,000 KRW ▲Encouragement Prize 200,000 KRW.
Han Geun-su, Administrative Management Officer of the Gyeonggi Office of Education, said, "Fresh and diverse opinions from citizens and affiliated public officials on Gyeonggi education policies will be the nourishment for creating field-centered Gyeonggi education," and added, "We ask for active participation in the citizen and public official proposal contest based on interest and affection for Gyeonggi education."
Meanwhile, citizens and public officials can participate through the People’s Petition website. Proposals should be written and submitted according to the respective forms for each recruitment field for citizens and public officials.
