[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] The campaign of Yoon Seok-yeol, the opposition presidential candidate and former Prosecutor General, has been reorganized under the name "National Camp." It is particularly notable that many former opposition lawmakers have joined.
On the 25th, Kim Byung-min, former Emergency Committee member of the People Power Party and newly appointed spokesperson for Yoon's campaign, held a press conference at the National Assembly and announced, "The official name of Yoon Seok-yeol's election campaign is 'National Camp.'"
Spokesperson Kim explained, "We aim to create a 'National Election Camp' where everyone participates together to gather the will of the people who desire a regime change and to build a country where the common sense of the people prevails."
Full-time political special advisors include former lawmaker Lee Hak-jae, full-time political aide Ham Kyung-woo, former People Power Party Deputy Head of Organization, full-time external cooperation special advisor Kim Kyung-jin, former lawmaker, and youth special advisor Jang Ye-chan.
The spokesperson team has expanded from the existing spokesperson Lee Sang-rok to include former lawmakers Lee Doo-ah and Yoon Hee-seok, former People Power Party spokesperson, making a total of four members.
Additionally, former lawmaker Shin Ji-ho serves as the general deputy director of the campaign's comprehensive situation room, and former lawmaker Park Min-sik acts as the planning director.
Former lawmakers Park Min-sik, Shin Ji-ho, Lee Doo-ah, and Lee Hak-jae belonged to predecessor parties of the People Power Party, while former lawmaker Kim Kyung-jin was affiliated with a predecessor party of the People Party.
Spokesperson Kim said, "The National Camp includes members of the People Power Party, figures who were once part of the People Party, and even those not affiliated with any party. We have opened the space widely so that anyone who desires a regime change can join together."
