POSCO Engineering & Construction announced on the 25th that it has published the '2020 Corporate Citizenship Report,' which contains the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management performance from the previous year.
POSCO Engineering & Construction explained that the Corporate Citizenship Report organizes various corporate citizenship practices and financial and non-financial achievements from an ESG perspective to make them easy for stakeholders to understand.
In the environmental sector, the report introduced the mid- to long-term carbon reduction roadmap and low-carbon business strategy, which were the first of their kind established in the construction industry to realize climate change response strategies.
In the social sector, it introduced the 'Smart Safety Solution' technology and its application cases aimed at creating safer construction sites, and in the governance sector, it included content such as strengthening the ‘Corporate Citizenship Council’ for decision-making related to corporate citizenship and ESG.
Additionally, based on ESG key issues that stakeholders consider important, the report specifically presented ESG focus areas and mid- to long-term management goals.
Han Sung-hee, CEO of POSCO Engineering & Construction, said, "We will take a step forward as a responsible corporate citizen by realizing 'value built together' with stakeholders, such as creating a workplace free of accidents and establishing an ESG procurement management system."
