How to Write a Self-Introduction Letter for the 2022 Academic Year Student Comprehensive Admissions?


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) will hold an online parent college admission class at the Dongdaemun College Admission Counseling Center on the 28th.


The parent college admission class is held every last Wednesday of the month at the Dongdaemun College Admission Counseling Center. This time, Jomanki, an instructor at the Korea Council for University Education (and a teacher at Gyeonggi Pangok High School), will conduct a session on how to write a self-introduction letter to prepare for the 2022 student comprehensive admission screening in the post-COVID-19 era.


Jomanki, an instructor at the Korea Council for University Education and a current teacher at Pangok High School, provides information on how to write a self-introduction letter so that examinees, who must attend both in-person and online classes according to social distancing measures, can efficiently respond to the changing admission policies based on his extensive experience in college admission guidance.


The parent college admission class is held every last Wednesday of the month on various topics related to university admissions. This lecture is conducted online via Zoom, allowing real-time Q&A to help parents support their children's acceptance.


Additionally, the real-time video lecture will be made available on the Dongdaemun College Admission Counseling Center website and the Dongdaemun-gu Office YouTube channel, allowing anyone to attend.


The Dongdaemun College Admission Counseling Center is a facility jointly operated by Dongdaemun-gu and the admission specialist company Uway, where any Dongdaemun-gu resident can receive customized admission counseling free of charge.

To coincide with the summer vacation, the district will operate the ‘Summer Vacation Future Camp "GO TO THE FUTURE"’ online (via Zoom) to help middle and high school students identify and strengthen competencies suitable for the future era.


The camp covers three topics: ▲Characteristics of future society ▲Core competencies for future society ▲Competency enhancement solutions, and will be held twice daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from the 26th to the 28th.


Applications are available until the 25th on the Dongdaemun-gu Education Vision Center website.


You Deok-yeol, mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “This ‘Parent College Admission Class’ was prepared to help students and parents who lack information due to many class gaps and admission variables caused by the recent upgrade to social distancing level 4, to bridge the gap in admission information. We will continue to provide various education and admission programs tailored to residents’ needs, thereby reducing private education expenses and contributing to increasing admission rates, leading Dongdaemun-gu to become a leading educational city for the future society.”
