The youngest archers in Korean archery, Kim Je-deok (Gyeongbuk Ilgo) and An San (Gwangju Women's University), are just one win away from Olympic gold. On the 24th, the two players defeated the Mexican duo Luis Alvarez and Alejandra Valencia 5-1 (37-37, 39-37, 38-36) in the mixed team semifinals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics held at Yumenoshima Park Archery Field in Tokyo, Japan. They secured a silver medal in their first Olympic appearance. In the final, they will face the winner of the Netherlands and Turkey semifinal at 4:45 PM for the gold medal. If they win this match as well, they will be recorded as the first Olympic archery mixed team medalists. The mixed team event was introduced for the first time in this tournament.
