[Weather] Weekend Heatwave Continues... "Stay Hydrated and Salted... Avoid Outdoor Activities"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The scorching heat is expected to continue around 38 degrees Celsius this weekend as well.

On the 23rd, the Korea Meteorological Administration announced that heatwave warnings have been issued for most regions nationwide, with generally clear weather continuing and daytime highs rising to around 35 degrees Celsius, making it hot.

The morning low on the 24th is expected to be between 21 and 27 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs ranging from 29 to 37 degrees Celsius. On the 25th, the expected morning low is between 21 and 26 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 28 and 36 degrees Celsius. In particular, some western areas are expected to experience daytime highs exceeding 38 degrees Celsius, resulting in intense heat.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "During the hottest hours of summer, from 2 to 5 p.m., outdoor work should be avoided as much as possible. Since there is a high risk of heat-related illnesses, please refrain from outdoor activities or going out while ensuring sufficient intake of water and salt."

In large cities and coastal areas, nighttime temperatures may remain above 25 degrees Celsius, causing tropical nights.

From tonight until the morning of the 24th, some inland areas may experience fog with visibility less than 1 km. In Jeju-do, strong winds with average speeds of 30 to 45 km/h are expected until the 26th.
