1st Seoul Startup Cafe Startup Challenge Gwanak-gu Nakseongdae Branch Selects 2 Final Teams Investube employees in a meeting

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) announced that two teams supported through the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch incubation support program (Paprika Data Lab, Investube) were finally selected on the 12th for the ‘1st Seoul Startup Cafe Startup Challenge (hereinafter Challenge).’

This Challenge was organized by Seoul City, which since March has selected two teams of (preliminary) entrepreneurs with less than one year of experience from each of the 11 Seoul Startup Cafe branches. After document screening and online face-to-face evaluations, a total of 10 teams were selected from 22 teams. These teams will receive a professional incubation program at the Seoul Startup Hub for the next two months.

The district incubated two teams through the Flint Accelerating Program at the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch, achieving the remarkable result that both teams were selected among the final 10 teams in the Challenge.

Flint Accelerating is a program planned at the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch to nurture companies selected for participation in the Challenge. It provided support in various areas including ▲listening to business operation difficulties ▲investment-related IR DECK ▲business commercialization funding support ▲business plan consulting ▲marketing support ▲recommendation of office space.

Among the two selected teams, Paprika Data Lab developed ‘Keda,’ a data exchange platform that collects convergence data for market research and studies. It has shown outstanding achievements in data analysis and trading, being selected for the Jeong Ju-young Startup Competition and the 2021 DATA GROWTH PROJECT.

Investube, developing a platform that enables trading of YouTube channel revenue rights based on big data and AI, was a preliminary entrepreneur at the time of selection. However, with support from the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch, it passed the preliminary startup package and established a corporation called ‘Carry Co., Ltd.,’ stepping up as a new media trading platform.

They stated, "With the support of the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch, we were able to win awards in various competitions and pass government support projects, which allowed us to secure funds to smoothly proceed with our business." They added, "Through the professional consulting of the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch, we were able to bring new progress to our business."

Meanwhile, although the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch has been temporarily closed since July 12 due to social distancing level 4, it continues to provide non-face-to-face mentoring to preliminary and existing entrepreneurs facing difficulties in starting a business through the Milestone Program. In particular, in the second half of the year, it plans to run a program introducing various jobs through the ‘N-jobber Project.’

Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “The increase in university student entrepreneurs in ICT fields such as YouTube channel revenue rights trading and data trading is a positive signal for the startup ecosystem.” He added, “We will not spare investment so that new companies like Paprika Data Lab and Investube can grow within Gwanak S Valley by providing more specialized consulting in data and media investment industries, not just simple mentoring.”
