On the 22nd, known as 'Daeseo,' the hottest solar term of the year, citizens were cooling off at Cheonggyecheon in Seoul. Cheonggyecheon, a popular urban retreat, was quieter than usual. The few people present appeared somewhat exhausted from the continuous heatwave. The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "A hot and humid North Pacific high-pressure system is completely covering our country, resulting in persistently hot and humid weather."
