Assemblyman Yusangbeom Elected as New Chairman of the People Power Party Gangwon Province Chapter

"Next Year, We Must Achieve Both Regime Change and Provincial Government Change"

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Yoo Sang-beom, a member of the National Assembly representing Hongcheon, Hoengseong, Yeongwol, and Pyeongchang, has been elected as the new chairman of the People Power Party's Gangwon Provincial Committee.

The People Power Party's Gangwon Provincial Committee held an executive committee meeting at the provincial party office on the 21st and endorsed Assemblyman Yoo as the next provincial committee chairman.

In his acceptance speech, the new chairman Yoo stated, "During the four years of the Moon Jae-in administration, South Korea has not taken a single step away from economic collapse, public hardship, security breakdown, and diplomatic isolation," emphasizing, "We must no longer entrust this country to the incompetent and dogmatic Democratic Party."

He continued, "Next year, we must achieve a change of government and a change in provincial administration," and pledged, "Gangwon will become the driving force for victory in next year's elections, and the wave of judgment against the government centered on Gangwon will shake the entire nation."

Yoo, originally from Yeongwol, graduated from Kyunggi High School and Seoul National University with a degree in law. After passing the 31st Judicial Examination, he served as the 3rd Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and Chief Prosecutor of the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, before being elected as a member of the 21st National Assembly.
