[News] Korea Land and Urban Planning Society and LH Jointly Host '2021 Tongil Land Academy'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] The Korean Society of Land and Urban Planning (President Kim Hyunsoo) is jointly hosting the '2021 Unification Land Academy' with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH, President Kim Hyunjun).

The society operates an educational program aimed at training experts in unification land and urban fields in preparation for revitalizing inter-Korean exchanges by understanding North Korea's land and urban issues and exploring future visions for the Korean Peninsula's land and spatial development.

The education will be conducted over 10 weeks starting from the 18th of next month, and applicants will be recruited through the society's website until August 9. This academy, consisting of a total of 20 lectures, targets professionals working in the public sector, private sector, academia, and research institutions.

Kim Hyunsoo, President of the Korean Society of Land and Urban Planning, stated, "Through this academy, we expect it to serve as an opportunity to convey a correct understanding of land and urban development through inter-Korean exchange and cooperation with participation from all sectors of society," adding, "It is necessary to raise public interest in the land and cities of the Korean Peninsula, recognize the necessity of inter-Korean exchange and cooperation, and expand its base."
