Effective from the 20th until the end of the summer heatwave period
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that "to prevent heat-related illnesses and other heatwave damages caused by the heat, the operating hours of COVID-19 screening clinics and temporary screening testing sites within the city will be shortened."
Accordingly, the screening clinic in Yuyang-dong will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, but on Saturdays and Sundays, it will operate from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The temporary screening testing site at Deokjeong Station plans to adjust its operating hours flexibly, operating from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays.
This shortened operation will be applied from the 20th until the end of the summer heatwave season.
Meanwhile, the city plans to deploy outdoor coolers, air conditioners inside containers, and shade tents for waiting areas at the screening clinics (testing sites) and establish a heat patient transport system to prepare for emergency situations.
