[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] There are reports that Apple will release the budget 5G smartphone 'iPhone SE3 5G' in the first half of next year.
IT specialized media MacRumors reported on the 19th (local time), citing Taiwan's DigiTimes, that Apple will introduce a new iPhone SE supporting 5G and equipped with the A14 Bionic chip. The timing is the first half of next year.
This is the same timing mentioned earlier by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities. Analyst Kuo stated that the new iPhone SE will be "the most affordable 5G iPhone."
The design of the iPhone SE3 5G is known to be similar to its predecessor. Currently, the iPhone SE is the only model in Apple's lineup that supports a Touch ID sensor and a home button. This is expected to remain the same in the iPhone SE 3 to be released next year. The 4.7-inch screen size is also reported to be maintained.
Inside and outside the industry, it is anticipated that Apple will apply a punch-hole screen design instead of a notch to the iPhone SE around 2023.
