[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] As the COVID-19 vaccination pre-registration for the 53-54 age group begins at 8 PM on the 19th, the website will be temporarily unavailable to stabilize the reservation system.


The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Task Force announced, "To stabilize the pre-registration for the 53-54 age group scheduled to start at 8 PM today, the pre-registration website will be temporarily suspended from 12 PM to 2 PM for two hours. Additionally, from 6 PM to 8 PM, the server will be restarted to prepare for the pre-registration, during which the service will also be unavailable."


Accordingly, pre-registration for all age groups will be temporarily suspended from 12 PM to 2 PM on the day. From 2 PM to 6 PM, reservations for the 55-59 age group and unregistered individuals aged 60 and above will proceed. From 6 PM to 8 PM, pre-registration will again be temporarily suspended. After 8 PM, new reservations for the 53-54 age group and existing unregistered individuals aged 55-59 and 60 and above will be available as planned.


From 8 PM on the 20th to 6 PM on the 21st, only the 50-52 age group will be able to pre-register. Subsequently, from 8 PM on the 21st to 6 PM on the 24th, all individuals aged 50-54 will be able to pre-register.


Meanwhile, individuals aged 50-54 will receive their first dose of the Moderna vaccine at nationwide vaccination centers and designated medical institutions from the 16th to the 25th of next month. Originally, this age group was scheduled to begin vaccination on the 9th of next month, but the schedule was delayed by one week due to some disruptions in vaccine supply.
