Visited a Hotel in Seoul on the 16th to Inspect Quarantine Measures
Kim Jeong-bae, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, visited the Fraser Place Central Hotel in Seoul on the 16th to inspect quarantine measures. These measures include a two-thirds occupancy limit for rooms under the Level 4 social distancing in the metropolitan area, a ban on private gatherings of three or more people after 6 p.m., and compliance with quarantine rules. He also assessed the difficulties faced by hotel industry stakeholders. Yoo Yong-jong, President of the Korea Hotel Association, stated, “The hotel industry is struggling due to COVID-19, but we are actively cooperating with the government’s quarantine measures,” and emphasized, “The government needs to consider support plans.” Vice Minister Kim said, “Please cooperate with social distancing until the COVID-19 situation improves,” and added, “We will work with the quarantine authorities to devise support measures.”
