According to the Mokpo Coast Guard, at around 7:47 a.m. on the 16th, a report was received that Mr. A (in his 60s) fell into the sea due to carelessness from a vessel moored at Bukhang Pier in Mokpo.
Upon receiving the report, the Coast Guard dispatched the Bukhang Police Substation rescue team and the West Sea Special Rescue Unit, arriving at the scene within 3 minutes of the report. They found the drowning victim Mr. A and directly entered the sea to quickly rescue him.
The rescued Mr. A was handed over to the 119 ambulance team and transported to a hospital in Mokpo, and it is known that his life is not in danger.
