[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Fashion tech specialist Cool Bears announced on the 16th the launch of its premium golf wear brand ‘Aven,’ developed with proprietary technology using eco-friendly fabrics.
Aven is a golf wear brand that enhances resource sustainability and fulfills responsibility to nature and society by developing high-quality eco-friendly materials.
As the golf market, previously centered on middle-aged and older generations, expands its demographic base mainly to the MZ generation, Aven quickly adopted simple and classic designs to suit this shift. It differentiates itself by complementing the drawbacks of existing tight and flashy golf wear with product lineups suitable for everyday wear.
Compared to conventional golf wear made from chemically synthesized materials that cause environmental pollution, Aven pursues a golf wear brand that leads environmental protection by using eco-friendly recycled fabrics. Aven’s materials include four types recently developed: Polar Ice, Recycle Polyester, Recycle Nylon, and Organic Cotton.
‘Polar Ice’ is an eco-friendly material developed through proprietary knitting technology, offering excellent moisture absorption and breathability, making it popular as a representative product line for staying cool during hot summers. The Polar Ice fabric series, made with patented knitting technology, includes striped classic V-neck polo shirts, striped collar polo shirts, and classic polo knits.
Additionally, ‘Recycle Polyester’ is an eco-friendly fabric certified by the Global Recycle Standard (GRS), made by recycling plastic PET bottles. Producing one top recycles 21 PET bottles, and making one hat recycles 6 PET bottles.
Aven is a member of the global environmental protection network ‘1% FOR THE PLANET’ and donates a portion of its sales to organizations working to improve the global environment.
Lee Minjae, CEO of Aven, stated, “Following COVID-19, there has been a growing societal demand for environmental protection and climate change response, prompting global fashion brands to develop products using recycled materials. As awareness of environmental issues grows especially among younger generations, we will grow Aven into a differentiated golf wear brand through the development of excellent eco-friendly materials that recycle resources.”
