Kia Launches Pre-Orders for New Sportage Turbo Hybrid

Prestige Starting at 31.09 Million Won... Equipped with E-Ride Technology and More

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Kia announced on the 16th that it will begin pre-orders for the new Sportage Turbo Hybrid model at nationwide sales locations and dealerships.

The new Sportage Hybrid model is the first in Korea to apply E-Ride technology. Utilizing the characteristics of the hybrid system, the motor is controlled to generate inertia force opposite to the vehicle's direction of motion when passing over speed bumps, enhancing ride comfort.

The prices by trim are Prestige at 31.09 million KRW, Noblesse at 32.69 million KRW, and Signature at 35.93 million KRW.

Meanwhile, in the pre-orders for the previously launched 1.6 Turbo Gasoline and 2.0 Diesel models, 16,078 units were contracted on the first day, the 6th. This ranks second among domestic sport utility vehicles (SUVs), following the Sorento with 18,941 units.
