[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Rinos announced on the 16th that it has signed a contract for the police '112 System Obsolete Equipment Replacement and Advancement (Phase 2)' in a consortium with TS Line System Co., Ltd. The contract amount for Rinos is approximately 6.8 billion KRW. The project period is until January next year.
Rinos won the Phase 2 project following last year and plans to improve and advance the functions of the nationwide 112 system, which was directly established in 2011 and has become obsolete.
Through this, the 'Visible 112' service for the public will be expanded and applied to police agencies nationwide. When a 112 report is received, surrounding video information will be used to more accurately understand the situation on site and confirm the location of the reporter. It is expected to provide an efficient and stable 112 system-based service that can respond to the demand for a rapid on-site response system.
Lee Sang-gu, Executive Director of Rinos, said, "Recognized for our technical skills in the police SI field, we have been able to replace and advance the system we directly built last year," and added, "We will successfully complete this project based on our know-how and continue to strive to consistently win police-related projects in the future."
Rinos won the '112 System Nationwide Standardization and Integrated Construction Project' in 2011 and 2012, building an integrated system at the level of 17 local police agencies nationwide from the 112 reporting systems operated by each police station. Last year, they completed Phase 1 of the 112 system obsolete equipment replacement and advancement project.
