[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Im Jae-su) announced on the 16th that on the afternoon of the 15th, a fishing boat drifted due to engine failure near Manjaedo, Sinan-gun, and all 16 passengers were rescued.
At around 12:43 PM on the same day, Mokpo Maritime Police received a report that fishing boat A (9.77 tons, registered in Jindo, 1 captain, 16 passengers) was drifting due to engine failure near Manjaedo, Sinan-gun.
The maritime police immediately dispatched a patrol vessel, safely transferred all 16 passengers from the accident site onto the patrol vessel, and transported them to Seomang Port, Jindo-gun.
All rescued passengers are in good health, and fishing boat A was towed and entered Seomang Port, Jindo-gun.
