Jeongeun Lee6 (25) and Mi-jeong Heo (32, both from Daebang Construction) are on a winning streak. On the 16th (Korean time), at the Midland Golf Course (par 70, 6,256 yards) in Midland, Michigan, USA, during the second day of the LPGA Tour Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational (DGLBI, total prize money $2.3 million), they surged with an 8-under-par in the Four-ball format (where two players each play their own ball and the better score is counted), jumping to a tie for 3rd place (11-under-par 129 strokes).

This is the only two-player team event on the LPGA Tour. Lee6 and Heo started tied for 7th place, 2 strokes behind, and showcased perfect play with 8 birdies and no bogeys. They reduced 3 strokes in the front nine with consecutive birdies on holes 3 and 4 and a birdie on hole 6 (par 4). In the back nine, they made two sets of consecutive birdies on holes 10-11 and 14-15, and finished with a birdie on hole 18 (par 3), securing a pleasant promise for the next round. They are 3 strokes behind the leader, a position from which a comeback is definitely possible.

Thai sisters Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn posted the daily best score of 11-under-par to quickly take the top spot on the leaderboard (14-under-par 126 strokes). Parajai Anannarukarn (Thailand) and Aditi Ashok (India) are in 2nd place (12-under-par 128 strokes), while defending champions Jasmine Suwannapura (Thailand) and Sydney Clanton (USA) are tied for 5th (10-under-par 130 strokes). The No. 1 sisters Nelly and Jessica Korda (USA), who led the previous day, faltered with 1-under-par and dropped to a tie for 23rd place (6-under-par 134 strokes).

Korea’s Hee-young Yang (32, Woori Financial Group) and Hye-ji Kang (31) are tied for 7th place (9-under-par 131 strokes). In addition, In-bi Park (33, KB Financial Group) and So-yeon Ryu (31, Mediheal), as well as Eun-hee Ji (35, Hanwha Q CELLS) and Hyo-joo Kim (26, Lotte), are tied for 13th place (8-under-par 132 strokes), showing strong performances.
