[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Standards Association (Chairman Kang Myung-soo) announced on the 16th that Bae I-yeol, former Head of Management Support Headquarters at the Korea Standards Association, has been appointed as Director of the Management Quality Institute (Executive Director), and Park Byung-wook, former CEO of IP CODE, has been appointed as Director of the Industrial Standards Institute (Executive Director).
Bae I-yeol, the newly appointed Director of the Management Quality Institute, graduated from Unho High School and earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in Materials Engineering from Chungnam National University. After joining the Korea Standards Association in 1993, he served as Head of the ISO Certification Development and Operation Team, Director of the National Quality Center, and Head of the Management Support Headquarters. He also organized the National Quality Management Competition and supported quality innovation in Korea's industrial sites, receiving a commendation for quality merit.
Park Byung-wook, the newly appointed Director of the Industrial Standards Institute, graduated from Gangseo High School and Yonsei University with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, and earned a master's degree from the Graduate School of Intellectual Property at KAIST. He served as Head of the Patent Team at S&S Tech, Head of the IP Team at TES, CEO of IP CODE, and adjunct professor in the Department of Intellectual Property at Dongguk University.
