[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] Strong gusts of wind and showers accompanied by thunder and lightning have fallen across most regions nationwide, and after the rain stops, the heatwave is expected to return.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 15th, the expected rainfall on the 16th is 10 to 60 mm nationwide, except for the East Coast, the five West Sea islands, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo. Some areas are forecasted to receive more than 100 mm.

Additionally, very heavy showers exceeding 70 mm per hour are expected in some areas, mainly in the central inland regions. There is also a possibility of hail in some locations.

Temperatures may temporarily drop in areas where showers occur, but after the rain stops, temperatures are expected to rise again, continuing the heatwave.

The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 27 and 33 degrees Celsius.

Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions due to the influence of precipitation.

Until today, very dense fog is expected mainly in the coastal seas nationwide, so special caution is required for maritime safety accidents.

Sea waves are expected to be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the coastal seas nationwide. Wave heights in the open sea are forecasted to be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea.
