[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] AI specialist company RaonPeople announced on the 15th that it has consecutively acquired three patents, including a technology patent for a ‘modular image acquisition device’ that can be mounted on military equipment and patents related to AI smart factories.
First, the technology patent for the ‘modular image acquisition device’ modularizes and standardizes functional image equipment such as image intensifiers, thermal cameras, optical cameras, and night vision devices, making it easy to mount on military equipment. It is characterized by modularizing multiple image devices with different functions according to special environments such as weather and day/night during military operations and training, allowing them to be quickly and easily combined or mounted for rapid use in emergency situations.
Optimized for military use with speed and precision, it is expected to be utilized in various fields by incorporating practical and convenient functions.
Additionally, RaonPeople has acquired two more AI-related patents in connection with national research and development projects.
These include patents related to an ‘automatic learning method and system for product inspection’ and an ‘artificial neural network learning method and device using multi-channel images,’ which are AI-specialized technologies gaining attention in line with the government’s Digital New Deal policy.
The patents cover technology for developing an automatic learning method and system that enables fast and efficient training to perform optimized product inspection through AI deep learning on corporate production lines, and applied patents related to an ultra-high-speed AI system for surface and pattern inspection to detect defects in PCB substrates, technologies applied to smart factories.
A RaonPeople official stated, “We will enter new markets through military image acquisition device-related technologies and patents, and raise entry barriers with advanced technologies utilizing patents in the AI smart factory market, which has recently become an issue. Having already registered 11 AI-related patents this year, including two in the United States, we will become a competitive company in the global market,” they added.
