[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Professor Kim Geunsik of Gyeongnam National University, chairman of the People Power Party's Songpa-byeong district committee in Seoul, harshly criticized former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk for posting and then deleting a video of himself doing pull-ups, calling him an "abnormal attention seeker."

Earlier, former Minister Cho recently uploaded a video of himself doing pull-ups on his Facebook, writing, "Some people said they couldn't verify my identity in the previous video, so I'm posting this. I will take it down soon." It is known that Cho posted the video in response to requests from his 'Facebook friends' (pe-chin).

Former Minister Cho recently praised a female college student who shared a video of herself doing pull-ups, and it is reported that his Facebook friends then requested him to verify his own pull-up performance. The video shows Cho wearing a sleeveless shirt doing pull-ups in what appears to be a gym. The video is currently deleted.

In response, Professor Kim criticized former Minister Cho on Facebook on the 13th, saying, "He is a very strange person. By my common sense, he is not normal."

Professor Kim said, "I have already judged him as an attention seeker or narcissist, but this case is extreme. It seems he needs treatment," adding, "After sharing the solemn grievance related to the appellate trial sentencing hearing of his wife who was legally imprisoned, Cho Kuk posts a photo of himself doing pull-ups at the gym and says he will take it down soon. Can anyone understand this from a normal perspective?"

Earlier, former Minister Cho shared the full text of the final statement of his wife, Professor Jung Kyungshim, in the appellate trial on Facebook that day. In her final statement, Professor Jung expressed her grievance over charges including forgery of a certificate from Dongyang University, saying, "When I think of the two years my entire family has lived through like hell, tears blur my vision and my heart aches."

Professor Kim strongly criticized, "Is he trying to show composure even during his imprisoned wife's appellate trial? Who took the photo of his back at the gym?" and added, "It clearly seems that Cho Kuk asked someone to take it. He is an abnormal person who senselessly posts videos of female college students doing pull-ups and just sends praise."
